Innovative Brazil
A business mission for the deep-dive into the innovation ecosystem of universities, clusters, businesses and technology parks in Brazil.

Key outcomes:

  • Delegation participants signed 4 cooperation agreements with organizations: Federation of Industries of Minas Gerais, UFMG University and Rio de Janeiro State University.
  • 12 agreements were signed for joint projects with Brazilian organizations.
  • 93% of participants said that they gained a better understanding of how Brazil’s innovation ecosystem works and the specifics of how Brazilian universities interact with business and government

Effective Organization of Innovation Clusters:
The Successful Experience of South Korea
A training program for managers of Russian universities and innovation clusters on the experience of effective management of innovation clusters in the Asia–Pacific region based on the example of South Korea.

Key outcomes:

  • 17 delegates – representatives of development institutions and innovative territorial clusters from Tomsk, Ulyanovsk, Kazan, Lipetsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow
  • The delegation visited 6 South Korean cities for seven days during the program
  • The delegation visited more than 10 organizations, including Seoul National University, SDIC — Seoul’s high-tech industrial complex (similar to Silicon Valley in the USA) — Hyundai Motor Company and the Samsung Innovation Museum.

Program review:

«The goal of the business mission was to develop international cooperation, familiarize representatives from Russian innovation-territorial clusters with best foreign practices and look for potential partners in South Korea. Partnership with the Russian Venture Company and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia in the organization of the trip not only ensured a high-quality business mission program but also the involvement of representatives of clusters that are leaders and participants in the priority program of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.»
